Siavash Mahmoudi

Siavash Mahmoudi was a 16-year-old living in Tehran with his single mother. He was a lively boy who loved listening to rap and playing football. His favourite team was the German club team Bayern Munich. During one of the demonstrations following the death of Mahsa Amini, Siavash was shot in the head on the street where he lived. His mother later called him “Iran’s Siavash” and described his son as someone who loved his country. His gravestone is one of the first that has his mother’s name on it as it is normally customary to engrave the father of the deceased’s name on a gravestone in Iran.
